Yoga at Blue Mountains...

All of the yoga classes here are safe, productive, innovative and fun! Students are welcome to try the variety of classes that we offer and are encouraged to work at a level of effort that feels right for them. Teachers and other professionals on staff all work as a team for seamless, high quality classes and other services. Bring a friend and come to class. Yoga; "it does your body good."

Yoga on the Butte - Summer

Saturday morning yoga class on the Butte. Held every other Saturday from June 26th thru August 21st.
10 to 11 am. This is a community class - there is no charge.

Ashtanga Yoga ~ 1st Series

First Series is a sequence of poses that begin with Sun Salutations, progresses into standing poses, followed by seated poses & concludes with the finishing sequence & relaxation. Ashtanga yoga is an active, flowing practice that builds core and upper body strength along with whole body flexibility and balance! It is said that where there is no effort there is no benefit. Strength, Stamina and Sweat are unique aspects of Ashtanga yoga, seemingly contrary to Western perceptions of Yoga. Beginners are welcome to attend Ashtanga classes!

Gentle Yoga

This gentle class will invite you to challenge yourself or simply relax and rejuvenate. An easy yet fluid yoga class for all ages and body types. All you need is comfortable clothing. This class is a great blend of the basics and creative poses to fit everyone's abilities. Taught by Certified Yoga Teachers, some are also Licensed Massage Therapists. A winter class. Begins September 10th.

NIA Technique

NIA: Finding Health Through the Joy of Movement Body, Mind, Emotions and Spirit. Nia combines dance, music, yoga and martial arts and is practiced barefoot. A spa treatment is included at the end of each Nia session at Blue Mountains.

First Friday Free Dance

Free movement based on Nia principles. Move to a wide variety of tunes. You are encouraged to bring some of your own favorites! Dress cool and comfortably.

Warm Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa means “flow” and that is the focus of this 1 ˝ hr class. This class will build strength, stamina, and flexibility by connecting each asana (pose) with the breath. Expect a moderately paced and fluid yoga class in a warm (75 degrees) room.

TURBO Yoga - Tues. 6:30 to 8 pm

Cross train with this active, Hot Yoga class. An excellent low-impact cross training for athletes or anyone wanting a solid workout! The classroom is heated, and the focus is on core and upper body strength, and flexibility. An Ashtanga based yoga practice. Runners, Cyclists - this is an EXCELLENT cross-training winter class. Bring a towel & your H2O. ~ Georgia

Feel free to wear your heart rate monitor in class. Turbo Yoga ~ Tuesdays 6:30 to 8:00 pm [upstairs]

New You Fitness

Be firm, fit and flexible in this energizing fitness class. A low impact yet invigorating class is tailored to each person’s needs. Choose your own pace and improve your stamina, strength, balance, and flexibility. This class is designed to revitalize bodies of every size, shape and age, while restoring optimal health and wholeness. Gentle movement, made enjoyable is self-perpetuating. As energy increases, so does confidence, as does quality of life; making it more likely that you will continue this gentle but effective program.

Hot Yoga - Blue Mountains method

This Hot Yoga Class is a routine sequence of 30+ poses in our heated classroom, of 100 degrees. Strengthen and de-stress your body! Burn away calories while stretching tight muscles. All poses are very safe for those with sciatica, back, hip and knee injuries. Bring your mat, water and a towel.

Hot Yoga - modified Bikram method

A routine yoga class in our classroom, heated to 100 degrees. This class has 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises. We have adjusted a few details of this discipline for the students comfort. Strengthen, stretch and feel free to place your feet which ever direction you want! Bring your mat, water and a towel.

Kranked Karma Yoga for Cyclists - Spring

'Kranked Karma' yoga is a class specific to the needs of cyclists, including... Weekend Warrior Riders, High Mileage Road Peddlers to you Knarly Mountain Bikers! Stretch out and relax tired muscles, and build core strength in one class.

One night a week. 6 to 7:30. (March thru May)

Yoga for Skiers & Boarders - Winter

'Yoga for Skiers & Boarders' takes care of legs, back and arms from all the effort of having fun on the slopes.

Yoga Sampler

Six weeks to tryout five different yoga styles. Sample a variety of yoga classes. Great if you are new to yoga or want to try a different style. Week 1: Intro to Yoga. An introductory class with overview of props, breathing techniques, basic poses & correct form for you. Week 2: Iyengar Yoga. Learn a basic sequence from Iyengar yoga. aligning, methodical, structured. Week 3: Ashtanga Yoga. (beginning level) Learn sun salutations; A & B, fundamental poses, seated & closing sequences. Week 4: Bikram Yoga. A shortened & modified Bikram Hot class. Week 5: Blue Mountains Hot Yoga. Learn a great sequence of poses to do in regular temperature or in a heated room. Week 6: Vinyasa Yoga. A beginning level Vinyasa flow instruction. Leave a message on our recorder if you are interested in this class. 745-9050 Class is offered as needed.

Yoga for Bigger Bodies

Discover how to move slowly and gently into classic yoga postures. Through practice learn, and continue to learn, both on the mat and in life, to accept as I am and as I change. Tailored postures to the rounded body by listening to ourselves and to our own bodies. Moving, breathing, reconnecting, and working for better health; no matter what size I am. [on hold]

SPRING Sun Salutations

Each spring join us for a basic yoga class of sun salutations mixed with some standing and seated poses. Get ready for spring! Kids with parents are welcome! A seasonal class. Offered during Spring Break.

Couple's Yoga - February

Valentine's yoga class for Sweethearts! Create a deeper connection with each other while practicing some unique poses for partners.
